Writing Prompt #11

Pete grew up in the mountains, in the deep snow where you could tell the world your secrets and no one would hear them. He loved the outdoors where he had the freedom to fish and hunt whenever he wanted to but as a small boy, his mom decided to move them to Los Angeles where everything was different. Instead of endless rows of trees, it was endless rows of skyscrapers and the cars are bumper to bumper. Living in Los Angeles for the next 30 years of his life wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. He had a wife, 3 kids and a good job now so he never really gave it much thought to move back to the Montana Mountain's. He told his wife when they first met about where he grew up and how he will always want to go back there someday. For their 10th wedding anniversary she surprised him and purchased a small cabin on 40 acres near his old home and decided to take the family there for a couple weeks. Pete never forgot how to set rabbit snares or tie a fishing knot so he showed his kids how to do all of this. He would wake up at 4 in the morning before anyone even thought about waking up and would put on his snow shoes and just walk around the mountains reliving the old days. He was in the best mood of his life while he was traveling all the terrain he used to as he was growing up. He even talked to his old neighbors who never moved out of their place. His kids enjoyed taking a break from the city life and learning how fun it is to actually have room to breath and enjoy a peaceful night with no noises. This was exactly what he wanted so he and his wife decided they would visit this place every year on their anniversary and enjoy a few weeks of solitude.

Writing Promt #10

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. He was perched on the brick wall thinking about how to solve his next case. Humpty is an expert detective who has solved many robbery cases in his days. Today's case was especially troubling, someone was stealing building supplies from the Three Little Pigs for the last three days. They are trying to build a house out of brick because all the other houses were blown over by a vandal, but every time they go to the construction site some of their tools or material is missing and they have no idea who is doing it. As he was sitting there one of the Little Pigs came running up. "Mr. Dumpty! Come quick, someone has taken more supplies!" he managed to tell him between each breath he took. They both ran back to the building site and Humpty began working right away, looking for any clue that the thief might have left. As he was scouring around the building site he noticed a paw print in the mud next to a lumber pile. "Well look here" he told the pigs, "it looks like this case isn't too complicated after all. Who do you guys know that has size 10 paw prints?" "THE BIG BAD WOLF!!" all three pigs shouted at once. "Correct" said Humpty, "I will question him right now." So he headed off down the road in the direction of Wolf's house. He walked up to the door and rapped on it a few times. "Mr. Wolf! I have a few questions to ask you if you don't mind" he called out. "What now Detective Dumpty?" "I just got home from my mothers house on the other side of the forest and I would very much like to get some rest!" Mr. Wolf growled when he answered the door. "It won't take long I promise" said Humpty, "You say you have been visiting your mother? How long have you been there?" "I have been there for two weeks, she was ill and I was helping her out with the farm.My mother will vouch for me if you don't believe me" said Mr. Wolf. "I believe you, its just there has been a series of robberies at the Three Little Pigs' house and there was a paw print by one of lumber piles this morning. Thanks for your time though, have a nice day!" Humpty shook his paw and left. As he was walking a lot of thoughts were flying through his head. "Who would want to frame Mr. Wolf..." he said aloud to himself. He made it a couple miles down the road when it hit him. "Old MacDonald!" Mr. Wolf and the farmer were feuding because Old MacDonald's fence line was on Mr. Wolf's property. Humpty took off running towards Mr. MacDonald's farm. When he reached the door he heard MacDonald making something inside, everything went quite when finally knocked. It took a few minutes but finally he opened the door. "Detective Dumpty! Nice day isn't it?" said MacDonald. When he opened the door Humpty noticed a pair of shoes shaped like wolf paws in the porch that were all muddy. Humpty smiled pulled out his handcuffs and said "It is a great day Mr. MacDonald." He arrested him for three counts of robbery. When he went into the farmers house to investigate further, he noticed that MacDonald had been stealing building supplies so he could rebuild his indoor fireplace. When Humpty told the pigs what he had found they thanked him profusely and said they didn't want the farmer to sit in jail other wise his animals would starve. So instead they had him help work on their new house everyday for community service. The End

Writing Prompt #9

This was my dream. I had finally been invited to race my dogs in the biggest dog sled race in the world. I was at the top of my game riding on the sled behind the dogs and I was confident I could win. The race was long and treacherous and was by no means easy, there are a few if any houses along the route. My dogs were in the best shape of their lives and ready to take on any challenger. The first two hours were good, we were staying right behind the leader. By the 5th hour I had taken the lead and was moving at a break neck speed sliding around corners, pushing the limits of racing. We ended up pulling way away from the former leader and we raced out onto the frozen lake. The ice was so smooth and easy to go fast on so I pushed the dogs to go a little faster and as we were cruising along I just glimpsed an ice heave before I slammed into it. The dogs were fortunate and swerved around it, but there was no slowing the sled down so I smashed into it and that is all I remember until I woke up in and igloo with an Eskimo staring at me. He told me he found me out on the lake with my 8 dogs sleeping around me keeping me warm, I was unconscious because I had slammed my head on the ice. He took me to his igloo farther out on the lake and bandaged my wounds. I have no idea how I got 4 bucks in my pocket but I ended up giving it to the Eskimo for his troubles. That rock that was in my other pocket was supposed to be my lucky rock but I guess it wasn't working today.

Hypothetically speaking Derrick Rose is one of the best professional basketball players. Creativity is probably his strongest suite, you never know what he will do when he gets the basketball. You can feel the electricity in the air when you watch him play, like something big is about to happen. He is the cause of many opponents humiliation, he has no problem making an opponent look silly. Every opportunity that he has to score for his team he will score it with authority. His popularity has grown significantly from his college basketball days, he is now a major name in the NBA. There is no other way of describing some of his moves other than unbelievable. He has a similarity to the great Michael Jordan, both played for the Chicago Bulls and both are very, very talented basketball players.

Writing Prompt #7

Seventh grade... wow, that was quite awhile ago and quite a few things have changed since then. One of my main changes since then is that I have matured quite a bit. In seventh grade I was one of the kids that would try picking a fight everyday and I wouldn't care about showing respect to any of the teachers. But in some ways I am still like the seventh grader I used to be. For example I haven't even grown since then, I am still 5 feet 10 inches, and still have my curly brown hair. I have personally changed since 7th grade, but the school and teachers have also. In 7th grade when I went out for football it was still Menahga Braves Football, a few years back it switched when we combined our football team with Sebeka so now its the United North Central Warriors Football. Some of the cooler teachers that we have had when I was in elementary retired and were replaced by much younger teachers. Even the High School principle moved on to bigger and better jobs. A lot has changed since then and I haven't even thought about it until you had us write this assignment. School and education at Menahga High has molded me into the person I am today, at 18 years old I am living on my own, I have a job, drive a vehicle that I paid for by myself and I am surviving quite well. The school taught me to respect people, gave me the education that I need to succeed in life and many other useful things.

Writing Prompt #6

I was having a good dream, driving a new shiny huffy when I was 8 years old. Wish it was still like that now. But something wasn't feeling right in the real world so I woke up, stifled a yawn, stretched, and was swinging my feet of my bed when I noticed someone staring into my bedroom. "Holy s#$@!" I screamed. There, staring in my bedroom window with a huge smile on his face was none other then Barrack Obama.Once he saw me notice him he started to wave then tapped on the window. He motioned for me to unlock and lift the window, so I did. Once it was open he crawled through it and into my room. "Nice pad" he said with a wink. I froze up. It might not seem like that big of a deal to have the President of the United States in your bedroom but its a whole different ball game when he is actually there. Not knowing what to do I sat back down on my bed and finally mustered up the courage to ask him what he was doing here. He said that there was an important mission that was going down within the next three hours and the only way for that mission to be a success he would need me to help him out. Help out the U.S.A. Feeling like a mouse running with elephants I managed just a squeaky laugh. His smile disappeared and he took a real serious tone. "You have to help us or we will be defeated by the hands of this evil." he told me. I asked him how an 18 year old boy like myself could help the United states and he said that I have a knowledge that no other human has on the topic of biological warfare. That's when I busted out laughing. I'll tell you what, this wasn't the right thing to do on my part, it only made him mad. "Get it through your thick skull!" he started to raise his voice. "Your our only hope and your just laughing about it, the whole U.S. is counting on you!" I stopped laughing right away. I finally started to take him serious, he told me to get dressed and ready to leave immediately. Within 5 minutes I had my clothes and shoes on and was grabbing a quick bite to eat at McDonald's, going through the drive through with the presidents limousine! We made our way through the city to the outskirts of town to an abandoned looking farmhouse. We walked in the front door and down to the basement, down there was a single door and it wasn't your average sized door, this door looked like it could stop a speeding train. ON the other side of the door was a bunch of modern technology for making or breaking down biological weapons. "Lets get straight to the point" Obama said." An anonymous country has launched a few biological weapons into the U.S. and we have two and a half hours to disengage them before they let out a deadly virus. We got right to work and within an hour I realized I had mass intelligence for this kind stuff. Needless to say we stopped the weapons from going off. Afterwords I asked how the President knew about my knowledge when even I didn't. He said that they have records of hundreds of kids like me that specialize in certain parts of life but they don't even know about it. We were born with some kind of power. We are the ones to choose whether or not to use it in a good way or to abuse it.

I am guessing these countries, as I am not sure where it really came from, it seems like they would be from there because that's where the majority of high tech computer gadgets come from now days. I'm sure that this computer along with all the other computers in this room were built in a large factory that mass produces all sorts of computers. This computer in the process of being built was probably handled by a lot of people before coming to America. Writing prompt #4

"Well this is a long story" said Wesley Snipes. "First off it began two days ago in a small town south of L.A., I was driving home from my parents house which was where I went for Thanksgiving. All was well until after supper we were drinking wine and I got a little more buzzed up then I thought so I wasn't thinking right when I decided I could drive my new Porsche home. As I was driving along the rain soaked road I noticed a hitch hiker on the road ahead of me he was drenched to the bone so I picked him up and kept right on driving. While we were driving we got to talking and he asked me how fast the car went, I told him 210mph but he didn't believe me, so I showed him. That's when crap hit the fan! We got up to 180mph and the poor guy got so scared he had a heart attack which led to his death in my passenger seat, and I knew there would be a lot of police in town last night so I got out and put him in my trunk. I went home and was so rattled I just went straight to my liquor cabinet and started drinking. Soon after I passed out and forgot all about the guy in my trunk and bringing him to the hospital. As a matter of fact I was on my to do that right now but you bumped into me."

Prompt #2

If it weren't for that ill timed flat tire, I wouldn't be stuck in this pickle. It all started on a hot sunny Saturday afternoon, I was driving home from my job that I have in the city where I have a boring desk job at Barrel O' Fun. This day started out just like any other day but believe me, it didn't end like the rest of them. I was driving home when I hit a big chunk of metal that was lying on the road. I pulled over and of course with my luck I was the only driver on this old country road. So I pulled out my spare tire and jack and got right to work trying to switch the tire, when all of a sudden I was hit in the back of the head by a hard object. When I turned around to see what it was I saw a small child out in the field. As soon as he saw me turn towards him he made an obscene gesture with his hand then turned and ran. After blowing a tire and having to change it in the wonderful Minnesota summer weather, and to top it off getting hit by a rock, I was easily agitated so I took off running after the kid. He ran into a rundown, weathered old shack. Inside it was the messiest place I've ever seen but that didn't stop the boy he ran straight in while yelling for his dad. His father came out of the bedroom carrying a shotgun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other cussing at the boy for yelling. Once he saw me he dropped the whiskey and aimed the gun at me. "What the heck are you doing here boy?" he asked me. When I explained what happened he swore and called me a liar saying that his kid would never do something like that, then he hit me with the butt of the gun and knocked me out. When I woke up they had already stolen all of my money, fixed the tire and took my car, and that's how I ended up duct- taped to the clothesline pole.
